The suburb of Calamvale is about 20km south of the Brisbane CBD and borders the neighbouring suburbs of Stretton, Sunnybank Hills, Parkinson and Algester.

A well-positioned suburb, Calamvale is home to a mix of newer style brick homes and some acreage properties, although there are few remaining. ?The suburb has also experienced extensive residential and commercial development over the last few years. The main road to Brisbane is Beaudesert Road, which runs north-south through the centre of the suburb. There aren’t any train stations in Calamvale, but Altandi and Runcorn stations (both on the Beenleigh Line) are only a five-minute drive. Its proximity to the Gateway and Logan Motorways, means that the Gold Coast is only about 50 minutes away.
